Eligibility Requirements: Completion of residency training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Summary of Program: 

This one-year fellowship is focused on the surgical management of craniomaxillofacial disorders. Specifically, the objective of the fellowship is to develop clinical competence in the evaluation, treatment planning, surgical execution and post-operative rehabilitation of patients with dentofacial deformities, temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, orofacial clefting, craniofacial syndromes, and maxillofacial cysts or tumors.

The fellow will develop proficiency in the full spectrum of orthognathic surgical procedures and TMJ operations including advanced arthroscopy and total TMJ arthroplasty (TJR). The fellow will have exposure to the surgical treatment of orofacial clefts and craniofacial syndromes, surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, complex bone grafting and implant rehabilitation, surgical management of maxillofacial pathology, use of computer assisted surgical planning, use of surgical navigation, endoscopically-assisted surgery, use of custom 3D printed surgical adjuncts and patient specific implants.
