Every year the Calgary section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accepts one surgical fellow in advanced training in orthognathic surgery.
This year-long fellowship will provide candidates with the necessary knowledge for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with congenital and acquired dentofacial deformities and maxillofacial disorders. This program aims to create an evidence-based hands-on learning environment related to oral maxillofacial surgical care. The fellow will gain extensive surgical experience in correction of dentofacial deformities, maxillofacial pathology, and temporomandibular joint disorders. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in about 250 orthognathic surgeries with our teaching faculty per year, with a significant volume of reconstruction, total joint replacement, and full arch implant rehabilitation. Salary expectations >100k per year.
With close proximity to the Rocky Mountains, there are many opportunities for skiing, hiking and exploring world famous Banff National Park.
